The Chainway C66 is a next-generation industrial-grade mobile computer designed for superior performance, durability, and versatility across multiple data collection and communication needs. Built on the powerful Android platform, it delivers enterprise-level functionality in a compact, ergonomic design, ensuring maximum productivity for field and warehouse operations, logistics, retail, manufacturing, and public service sectors.
The C66 features a robust yet sleek design, measuring 160.0 × 76.0 × 15.5 / 17.0 mm and weighing only 287 g (with battery) or 297 g (with fingerprint/UHF model). It sports a 5.5-inch high-definition full display with IPS technology (1440 × 720) for crisp and vivid visuals. The multi-touch panel supports operation with gloves and wet hands, ideal for demanding industrial environments.
The device comes with a removable main battery (4420 mAh for standard version, 5200 mAh for fingerprint/UHF model) and supports an optional 5200 mAh pistol battery with Quick Charge 3.0 and RTC support. It ensures up to 490 hours of standby time and over 12 hours of continuous operation, depending on usage conditions. Charging takes approximately 2.5 hours via a standard adapter and USB cable.
Additional features include sound, LED, and vibration notifications, USB Type-C (USB 3.1, OTG), and dual SIM card support (1 Nano SIM + 1 Nano SIM/TF slot). The device integrates dual microphones for noise cancellation, a powerful speaker, and multiple keys for scanning and volume control. Sensors include accelerometer, light, proximity, gravity, gyroscope (optional), and geomagnetic (optional) sensors, enhancing accuracy and usability in data-driven tasks.
Powered by an Octa-core 2.0GHz processor, the C66 ensures fast, reliable performance even under heavy workloads. Memory configurations include 3GB + 32GB, 4GB + 64GB, or 6GB + 128GB, with support for up to 256GB microSD expansion.
The device runs on Android 11 or Android 13 with Google Mobile Services (GMS) certification, 90-day security updates, and enterprise-level features such as Android Enterprise Recommended, Zero-Touch enrollment, FOTA, Soti MobiControl, and SafeUEM. The platform is upgradeable up to Android 18 (pending feasibility). Developers can leverage the Chainway SDK using Java within Eclipse or Android Studio environments.

WLAN: Dual-band 2.4G/5G with 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax-ready support, fast roaming (802.11r, PMKID caching, OKC), and robust security protocols (WEP, WPA2, WPA3, EAP-TLS, TTLS, PEAP, etc.).
WWAN: Global 2G/3G/4G LTE support covering multiple bands across Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
Bluetooth: Version 5.1 for low-latency, high-efficiency connectivity.
GNSS: Integrated GPS/AGPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, and Galileo for highly accurate positioning.
Vo-LTE: Supports HD-quality voice and video calls.
Note: Models produced for the Turkish market include WAN modules that support data transmission only, with no voice call capability.
The C66 is built to endure harsh working conditions. It operates efficiently between -20°C and +50°C and can be stored at temperatures from -40°C to +70°C. The rugged housing ensures protection against dust and water with IP65 sealing (IP67 optional). It withstands:
1.8 m drops (20 times) to concrete over the operating range,
2.4 m drops with rubber boot protection,
MIL-STD-810H (SGS tested) compliance, and
1000 tumbles from 0.5 m height.
Additionally, the device offers ESD protection up to ±15 kV (air) and ±8 kV (contact).
Barcode Scanning
Equipped with optional industry-leading engines from Zebra (SE4710/SE4100) or Honeywell (N6603/N6703/6803FR/HS7), the C66 enables fast and accurate scanning of:
1D codes: UPC/EAN, Code128, Code39, Interleaved 2 of 5, MSI, RSS, etc.
2D codes: QR, DataMatrix, Aztec, PDF417, and postal codes (US, UK, Japan, etc.).
UHF RFID
Available in multiple configurations:
UHF1 (Back Clip): Based on Impinj E Series chips, supports up to 32m read range and 1300+ tags/sec.
UHF2 (R6 Sled): Dual communication modes (Pin Connector/Bluetooth), read range up to 31m, and advanced EPC Gen2v2 authentication.
UHF3 (Built-in): Compact, linear antenna design with up to 2.7m read range—ideal for lightweight operations.
All UHF options support EPC C1 GEN2 / ISO18000-6C protocols, and read range depends on environmental and tag factors.
Fingerprint Recognition
Two fingerprint sensor options are available:
TCS1: 12.8 × 18 mm sensing area, 508 dpi resolution, FIPS 201 and STQC certified.
TLK1NC02: 14 × 22 mm sensing area, 508 dpi, FBI-certified.
Both support fake finger detection, AES/DES encryption, and multiple standard extraction formats (ISO, WSQ, ANSI, JPEG2000).
Camera and NFC
The rear camera features a 13 MP autofocus lens with LED flash, enabling sharp image capture and ISO19794-5 compliant facial recognition.
The NFC module operates at 13.56 MHz, compatible with ISO14443A/B, ISO15693, and supports M1, CPU, and NFC tag cards with a 2–4 cm read range.
