Long Description

Avery Dennisonβ„’ FT 8300 is a 3.3 mil double-coated polyester adhesive tape designed for temporary bonding applications where plasticizer resistance and clean removability are essential. Engineered with a differential acrylic adhesive system, this product provides a strong, reliable bond on materials like vinyl, rubber, and mildly plasticized surfaces, while offering a low-tack, removable adhesive on the opposing side for easy, residue-free removal.

This construction makes FT 8300 particularly effective in general industrial applications, signage, protective film mounting, and short-term displays, where repositionability and material compatibility are key.

Key Features

Plasticizer-Resistant Acrylic Adhesive: Bonds effectively to vinyl, rubber, and mildly plasticized materials without degradation from plasticizer migration.

Removable Acrylic Adhesive: Low-tack adhesive on the mounting side allows for clean, residue-free removal from most surfaces.

Polyester (PET) Film Carrier: Provides dimensional stability, tear resistance, and supports precision die-cutting and converting.

Super Calendered Kraft Liner: Ensures clean, accurate processing, especially during high-speed converting.

Benefits

Temporary/Repositionable Bonding: Ideal for applications requiring easy repositioning or short-term attachment.

No Adhesive Residue: Removable side leaves surfaces clean after removal, preventing rework or surface damage.

Excellent Die-Cutting Performance: Carrier and liner construction support precise die cuts without distortion.

Chemical & Environmental Resistance: Acrylic adhesives provide long-term stability against heat, light, and mild chemicals.

Plasticizer Tolerance: Maintains performance even when exposed to softened PVC and similar materials.

Typical Applications

Temporary mounting of signage, decals, or labels

Protective film bonding on plasticized vinyl and other flexible surfaces

Removable bonding for fabrication or assembly aids

Foam or gasket attachment in removable setups

General industrial uses where clean removability is required

Application Guidelines

Surfaces must be clean, dry, and free of grease, dust, or oil.

Achieve best bond strength by applying firm pressure and allowing for sufficient dwell time.

Performance can vary based on substrate type, application pressure, and ambient conditions (temperature, humidity).
