Long Description

Avery Dennisonβ„’ FT 8306 is a double-coated polyester film tape engineered for temporary bonding applications that demand a balance of strong adhesion and clean removability. Designed with a differential adhesive systemβ€”a high-tack rubber adhesive on the laminating side and a low-tack, removable acrylic adhesive on the mounting sideβ€”FT 8306 delivers dependable short-term holding power with minimal residue upon removal. This makes it an ideal solution for signage, graphics, foam bonding, and general industrial uses where temporary adhesion is required.

Key Features

Differential Adhesive System:

Laminating Side (Unwind): High-tack rubber-based adhesive ensures strong, durable bonding to a wide range of substrates, including foams and plastics.

Mounting Side (Liner): Low-tack, removable acrylic adhesive allows for clean removal from most surfaces.

Polyester Film Carrier: Offers high tensile strength and excellent dimensional stability, enabling easy handling, precision die-cutting, and clean converting.

Super Calendered Kraft Liner: Enhances release performance and supports smooth, accurate converting operations.

Excellent Die-Cutting Characteristics: High tear resistance and clean edge performance during converting and application.

Primary Benefits

Strong yet Temporary Bonding: Ideal for applications that require short-term holding power and residue-free removal.

Versatile Application: Adheres well to a wide variety of materials, including metal, ABS, foams, and painted surfaces.

Reliable Performance in Fabrication: High tensile strength and dimensional stability make it suitable for demanding die-cutting and converting processes.

Clean Removability: Low adhesion on the mounting side allows for repositioning or removal without damaging surfaces.

Common Applications

Temporary signage and point-of-purchase (POP) displays

Foam bonding in packaging or construction

Temporary mounting in manufacturing or assembly

Promotional displays and removable graphics

Industrial masking and holding applications

Minimum Application Temp:50 Β°F (10 Β°C)
Minimum Service Temp:-40 Β°F (-40 Β°C)
Maximum Service Temp:158 Β°F (70 Β°C)

Application Guidelines

Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free of grease or dust before applying the tape.

Bond strength is influenced by pressure, dwell time, and surface type.

Different materials (films, metals, foams) may affect adhesion and removabilityβ€”test prior to use in critical applications.

Storage & Shelf Life
