Long Description

Avery Dennisonβ„’ FT EZ-8 is a double-coated polyester tape engineered for applications requiring a strong bond to foamsβ€”particularly polyether or polyester foamsβ€”while also offering temporary removability from metal or similar surfaces. This makes FT EZ-8 an ideal solution for industries such as automotive, appliance manufacturing, and general industrial assembly.

The tape features a differential rubber-based adhesive system, providing a secure initial bond to foam on the unwind side and short-term removability on the liner side.

Key Features

Differential rubber adhesives on each side of a polyester carrier:

Unwind side adhesive offers strong foam bonding.

Liner side adhesive provides short-term removability from most metal substrates.

Excellent die-cutting and processing stability, making it well-suited for high-speed converting operations.

Backed with a densified kraft release liner for improved handling and liner stability during lamination and application.

Application Tips

Apply to clean, dry, and oil-free surfaces.

Bond strength depends on pressure, dwell time, and surface contact.

Performance may vary with temperature, substrate type, and application technique.
