Long Description

Avery Dennisonβ„’ FT Y1071 – Synthetic Rubber Adhesive Transfer Tape

Avery Dennisonβ„’ FT Y1071 is a high-performance adhesive transfer tape featuring a permanent synthetic rubber adhesive designed to provide strong and reliable bonding on a wide range of substrates. It exhibits excellent adhesion to low surface energy (LSE) materials such as polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), TPO, ABS, PVC, and polystyrene, as well as to a variety of metals and rigid or foamed plastics.

This product offers a uniform adhesive coating and a flexible adhesive film, ensuring consistent application and conformability to both flat and contoured surfaces. The easy-release Havana-colored glassine liner enables smooth handling and efficient liner removal during application or converting.

Key Features

Uniform adhesive thickness ensures reliable and repeatable performance in bonding operations.

Flexible adhesive film allows excellent conformability to curved or uneven surfaces.

Broad service temperature range supports performance in both high- and low-temperature environments.

Specially formulated synthetic rubber adhesive provides strong adhesion to LSE plastics and metals.

Easy release glassine liner enables efficient conversion and liner removal at point of use.

Benefits

Delivers consistent and repeatable bonding performance across a wide variety of substrates.

Offers excellent adhesion to metals and plastics, including low-energy surfaces.

Ensures good conformability on flat, curved, and textured surfaces.

Provides durable performance in environments exposed to fluctuating temperatures.

Facilitates easy liner removal, improving efficiency in high-speed applications and die-cutting processes.

Application Techniques

Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from grease, oil, and dust before application.

Apply firm and uniform pressure to maximize adhesive contact and bond strength.

Bond strength depends on pressure, time, and temperature, and may vary across different substrates (rigid vs. flexible).

For optimal results, apply at temperatures above 50Β°F (10Β°C).

Storage and Shelf Life

Shelf Life: 2 years when stored at 64–72Β°F (18–22Β°C) and 30–70% relative humidity.

Store in original packaging, away from direct sunlight and extreme heat or cold to maintain adhesive properties.
