Long Description

The MV-SC1008M-05S-WBN-NR is a high-precision vision sensor from the SC1000 series, designed to deliver superior inspection performance for demanding industrial automation tasks. Featuring a 0.8MP global-shutter CMOS sensor paired with a 5mm focal length lens and optimized for a 120 mm working distance, this compact yet powerful sensor produces sharp, detailed images suitable for fine-feature inspection, presence detection, measurement applications, and part recognition.

With a native resolution of 1024 × 768, the MV-SC1008M-05S-WBN-NR offers significantly enhanced image clarity compared to standard 0.3MP sensors, enabling more accurate visual analysis of small components, labels, solder joints, assembly elements, and detailed surface features. Its global shutter ensures distortion-free imaging even in applications involving motion, vibration, or rapidly changing production environments. Adjustable exposure (60–7000 μs) and gain (1–15 dB) allow excellent adaptability to varying lighting conditions, while the integrated white LED illumination ensures stable vision performance without external lighting requirements.

This model stands out with its comprehensive vision toolset, offering advanced capabilities across multiple categories:

Measurement tools: P2L, L2L angle, diameter, brightness and contrast analysis, edge width, grayscale size, line angle, color measurement, width measurement.

Existence tools: Spot, edge, contour, circle, and line presence detection.

Counting tools: Spot count, edge count, contour count, and color count for process verification or batch inspection.

Recognition tools: Classification registration and color contrast, supporting basic identification and sorting tasks.

Logic tools: Calculator, condition logic, combination logic, and judgment functions for building intelligent inspection workflows.

Locating tools: Robust fixture positioning for consistent alignment and accurate measurement.

The SC1000 series supports up to 8 independent solutions and 40 modules, enabling multi-task deployment on a single device. Solutions can be easily imported and exported, simplifying replication across production lines, machine upgrades, and multi-sensor configurations.

Equipped with broad industrial communication support, the sensor integrates seamlessly with PLCs, robots, conveyors, and automation systems using protocols such as Modbus, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, FTP, TCP/UDP (client/server), MELSEC/SLMP, FINS, Keyence KV, and Serial Port. Data transmission and system integration are further supported by Fast Ethernet (100 Mbit/s), digital I/O, RS-232, and a convenient top-mounted manual trigger button.

Built for durability and ease of integration, the MV-SC1008M-05S-WBN-NR features an IP54-rated enclosure, a robust M5 lens mount, and a compact 38 × 38 × 19 mm design that fits effortlessly into small machinery, inspection modules, or multi-camera setups. Its cross-laser aiming system provides precise alignment and greatly simplifies installation and calibration. With a lightweight 40 g body and low power consumption of approximately 3 W, the device is ideal for space-constrained automation environments.

Certified with CE and KC safety standards and supported by the intuitive SCMVS software platform, this vision sensor is an excellent choice for electronics manufacturing, packaging inspection, assembly verification, automotive component checking, labeling processes, and general industrial automation requiring higher resolution and reliable mid-range imaging.
